begining changing leaves around
the yard and garden are dying back
the crickets are not chirping
but the cicadads are
and have a lowly hum
the gray squirrel climbs slowly head first
down the big maple tree
the milk sky is suspended
like this morning over the magical salt marshes

We are all like happy kids
1st day no fee entrance into Hammonasset!
a beautiful windy summer day
hot, dry and windy sorta of like California
but so much greener and full of life
