everything is beautiful and ripe
I’m filled with immense joys of living in the now
I cannot keep the smile off of my face, nor do i wish

OK so tomorrow is my birthday
I’m going to start a new tradition
“birthday in reverse”
that’s right, I’m losing a year starting with this birthday
and continuing on till I’m about oh 5 and then
reversing again
it’s a new lease on life
me saying to myself that i am not moving towards that dark night, nay!

chilly still air
and then hard cracks of thunder
cold light rain
